ABOUT DISTRICT COURT
The revenue district of Ukhrul used to be part of the erstwhile judicial district of Manipur East earlier. The court of CJM, Ukhrul and Civil Judge(Jr. Div)/JMFC Ukhrul were under the jurisdiction District & Sessions Judge, Manipur East. Ukhrul District became a full-fledged judicial district in the later part of 2015 but it continued to remain under the jurisdiction of District and Sessions Judge, Imphal East, which was established after redesignating District & Sessions Judge, Manipur East. The District and Session Court, Ukhrul was inaugurated on 16th January, 2016. Shri N. Rajnikanta Singh, MJS is the first District & Sessions Judge, Ukhrul.
